Fil-Taga Ace of the Month tourney on Sunday

The Fil-Taga Golfers Association will hold its December Ace of the Month Tournament this Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Marianas Country Club.

According to tournament director and Fil-Taga president Ted “Golden Bear” Malaran, show time is set at 6:30am with tee-off time scheduled at 7am.

The golf club’s Christmas Party and election of officers for 2006 will follow at noon at Hot City on the second floor of the IT&E Building in San Jose.

Established in 1993, Fil-Taga’s tournaments operate under a computer-controlled handicap system that creates parity among players in the A and B Flights.

A Fil-Taga Ace of the Month champion is crowned monthly. Regular tournaments are scheduled once a month, normally every third Sunday. Green fees are in the $35 to $40 price range for most tournaments. (PR)
