A man accused of yelling at a woman and threatening to kill her and her friends while he was intoxicated during Christmas Eve last year, has entered a guilty plea.

Tebwaara Binauea entered a plea agreement and pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.

Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona accepted Binauea’s plea and sentenced him to 30 days in jail, all suspended except 12 days.

Following the agreement, Manglona gave the defendant credit for the 12 days he already served in jail.

The judge placed the defendant on six months of probation and ordered him to pay $85 in court probation and court assessment fees.

Binauea was also ordered to write a letter of apology to the victim and undergo counseling at the Community Guidance Center.

The defendant was charged with assault and disturbing the peace.

Court papers said that the defendant yelled at the victim in the late evening of Dec. 24, 2004 both inside and outside the house. He told the victim he would kill her and her friends.
