The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. yesterday designated Tony Guerrero as its new acting executive director, becoming the fourth person to hold the post within a span of less than a month.

Guerrero said CUC board chair Frank Guerrero designated him to the CUC’s top executive post effective 4:30pm yesterday.

Tony Guerrero replaced then acting executive director Sohale Samari, who returned to his regular post as the CUC’s comptroller upon Guerrero’s designation.

Samari assumed the CUC’s top executive post in an acting capacity effective Dec. 17, upon the effectivity of the leave of absence of then acting executive director Bernard Villagomez, who opted to resign from his post as CUC’s deputy director effective Dec. 31.

Villagomez became acting executive director beginning Dec. 10, following the retirement of CUC’s top executive, Lorraine Babauta.
