YELLOW RIBBON PANEL SETS MEETINGS

The Yellow Ribbon Committee is inviting the public to assist in making yellow ribbons for CNMI soldiers returning from Iraq. Volunteers are meeting today, Dec. 31, 2005, from 1pm to 5pm; Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, (holiday) from 1pm to 5pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Jan. 3,4 and 5) from 5pm to 8pm, at the Army Reserve Center (first building on the left after main gate). No military ID needed.

“Please come support our troops and make this welcome home for our soldiers a memorable one. Your help is much appreciated!” according to organizers.

Q4 DEADLINE FOR FILING QUARTERLY TAX RETURNS

The Division of Revenue and Taxation wishes to remind all CNMI residents that the 2005 4th Quarter deadline for filing the quarterly tax returns is Jan. 31, 2006.

The Division of Revenue and Taxation will be open from 7:30am until 6:30pm on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006. The office of the Division of Revenue and Taxation is located at the Joeten Dandan Commercial Center. (PR)

SAIPAN COMMUNITY SCHOOL RESETS NEW YEAR START

Due to rain delays, the paving project at Saipan Community School won’t be completed until Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006.

Because of this classes will be cancelled on that day and classes for the New Year will instead begin Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006. The lost school day will be made up Jan. 16, 2006. (PR)
