Aqua Resort Club’s Costa Terrace Restaurant is offering weight watchers and health buffs a good start to the new year with its Monday Night Healthy Twist Selections.

Diners who want a light meal after indulging in barbecue, fried chicken, and red rice over the weekend can get started by trying out the restaurant’s generous supply of greens and assortment of dressings from its salad bar.

Guests can also try any of Costa Terrace’s four wholesome appetizers—Vegetable Stuffed Spring Rolls with Thai Hot Sauce, Indian Vegetable Samoosa with Mango Chutney, Fresh Eggplant Piccata with Organic Brown Rice and a Delicious Smoked Jalapeno Aioli, and Yogurt Based Vegetable Curry with Cucumber Raita and Steamed Rice.

The three main courses—Broiled Yellow Fin Tuna on a Provençale Ratatouille-Low Carb Delight, Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin Smothered In Mushrooms with Sauteed Spinach And Veggies, and Alaskan Halibut in Lemon Grass & Kaffir Lime Leaves with a Touch of Chili Peppers—are also guaranteed to tickle the taste buds without adding inches to the waste line.

To further complement Monday Night Twist Selections, freshly extracted fruit or vegetable juices are also available and made right before your eyes.

And to top it all off, the restaurant is also giving away free passes to its fitness center and swimming pool so customers could burn the extra calories accumulated during the long holiday break.

Aqua Resort Club’s sales and marketing manager Dory Gabutero said they wanted to start 2006 with something new and, since people on the island are usually health conscious and very particular of what they eat after the holidays, they came out with the Monday Night Healthy Twist Selections.

“It’s just a healthy alternative to the beginning of the new year after eating all those delicious but filling food during the Christmas season. This gives our customers—both local and in-house—an opportunity to start eating right,” she said.

Food and beverage manager Manny Barcial echoed this but added that, as well as the healthy food selections, guests are also given the opportunity to try out their exclusive fitness center and swimming pool.

“Not only are we promoting healthy eating habits in 2006 through our Monday night promotion, we are also encouraging people to exercise and lose weight by giving away free passes to our fitness center and [swimming] pool,” he said.
