Saipan Grand Hotel is giving away at least 10 discount coupons for the local community in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

Dubbed as “China Town at the Grand,” the event is considered the longest celebration of the Lunar New Year in the CNMI, having started last Friday and continuing until today.

The three-day Lunar New Year celebration at the hotel will allow guests to avail of 10 discount coupons that includes one free glass of wine at the Surf Terrace, a welcome beer at Club V, one draft beer at Southern Cross, and one free pool pass at the hotel. The hotel is also providing 20 percent discounts at AOI Restaurant, Beach Barbecue, Club V’s standard drinks, and an overnight stay at the Grand. Kids will also be delighted with the 10 free tokens at Whimsy.

Guests will also have a chance to witness a grand lion dance at the hotel lobby at lunchtime today. At night, in-house and local guests will be treated to a wide array of $1 dishes prepared by executive chef Chris Adams and his staff.

Restaurant manager Lance Razon said the delightful dinner will be complemented by a live entertainment, courtesy of the Knight Owls Band.

Razon said the hotel’s exquisite Chinese decorations—which they imported all the way from China for the weekend festival—would also amuse and enchant the guests. An employee dressed as a Chinese emperor is also an attraction for souvenir photos.

Other hotel partners, such as Carmen Safeway Supermarket led by general manager Eli E. Miravilla, are also participating in the grand celebration.
