Burglars struck again at two public schools on Saipan over the weekend, carting away some computers and other items.

Schools burglarized were the William S. Reyes Head Start and Kagman High School, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Ken Concepcion yesterday.

Concepcion said that items stolen from the William S. Reyes Head Start were three computers, two printers, and two CD players.

At Kagman High School, the item stolen was a black Panasonic DVD/CD player, Concepcion said.

The DPS spokesman said preliminary investigation showed that the burglary at William S. Reyes Head Start was reported to DPS Friday at 7:36am.

A teacher stated that when she opened her classroom she noticed some papers scattered on the floor. She discovered that a computer, a printer, and a CD player were missing.

Upon learning of the burglary, another teacher checked her room and found that two computers, a printer, and a CD player were missing from her classroom.

Concepcion said the suspect or suspects gained entry through the window in the two classrooms.

The break-in at Kagman High School was reported to DPS Saturday at 8:50am.

Concepcion said that a school employee noticed the door to a classroom was slightly open.

The employee checked inside and observed that the rear window had been shattered. He immediately called police and notified the teacher of the classroom.
