A woman was allegedly beaten up by her jealous husband Friday early morning after she apparently picked up the wrong clothes at the laundry shop.

The victim sustained a bruise on her cheek and a lump on the right side of her head. She also complained of slight pain in the stomach, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Ken Concepcion.

Concepcion said the suspect, Lian Guo Hui, was arrested for assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Concepcion said the victim went to the DPS Central Office on Friday at 1:07am after Hui allegedly beat her up.

The victim told police that a few weeks ago she had picked up their clothes at a drop off laundry shop, but she got the wrong ones.

After finding out about the wrong clothes, Hui accused her that the clothes belong to her boyfriend and that she was preparing to go back to China with him [the boyfriend].

The wife threw the clothes at Hui, who got mad and allegedly bit her cheek. He then allegedly punched her on the head and kicked her on the stomach.

The victim cried and proceeded to DPS to report the incident.
