Youngster Peter Tenorio continued his dominance in the Saipan Little League Baseball Association as the pitcher allowed one hit, fanned 11 would-be hitters, and racked up another complete game win as McDonald’s blanked the Twins, 22-0, at Tan Ge Field.

The action at the Oleai Sports Complex was served up fast and furious in the mercy rule-shortened affair as Tenorio and his fellow McNuggets did everything right in the one-sided toppling of the Twins before the umpires invoked the 10-run mercy rule after three and a half.

When he wasn’t on the mound, Tenorio went 4-for-4 with a pair of singles, a triple, and a three-run homerun. When the beat down was finally over, Tenorio knocked in five runs, but he didn’t have to do it all by himself as third baseman John Villagomez went 3-for-4 with a pair of singles, a double, and four runs batted in, while teammate Kevin Villagomez went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and two ribbies.

Pirates 18, Ol’ Aces 14

While the Pirates never lost control of the game since the umpires called “play ball” to start the contest, they successfully answered every rally brought forth from the Ol’Aces.

Taitano had a heck of a day at the ball park as the youngster allowed 14 runs off of 14 hits and fanned four in his time on the hill, and went 2-for-4 with a single and a two-run double on the other side of the plate.

Centerfielder Frankie Camacho also did some damage at the plate with a 2-for-5 performance that yielded a double, a triple, and four runs batted in.

Hustlers 3, Kagman 1-2-3 1

The Hustlers took a two-run lead in the bottom of the first inning and hung on the rest of the way to defeat Kagman 1-2-3 at Tan Ge Field in a pitcher’s duel on Saturday in which hurlers Joseph Dayline and Mc Garrete Dueñas teamed up to get the win.

Dayline went four and a third innings on the hill allowing one run off of five hits and fanning a half dozen, while Dueñas closed out the final inning and two-thirds without a scratch and fanned three.

The duo had to bring it from the mound because Richard Dela Cruz was on a mission for Kagman. Dela Cruz gave up three runs off of two hits, fanned 11, and went all five innings for the homesteaders. Despite the impressive performance, Dela Cruz took the loss.

The only Hustler able to touch Dela Cruz was shortstop Anthony Manalo who went 2-for-2 with a single, a double and two runs batted in.

Braves 6, Ol’Aces 4

Pitcher Lamarc Iguel went the distance for the Braves and third baseman Jotham Camacho provided late game heroics to lift the team from Tanapag to a 6-4 win over the Ol’Aces Friday at Tan Ge Field.

Iguel allowed four runs off of eight hits and fanned five through six innings and kept the Braves in business before Camacho got his lone hit in the bottom of the fifth. The Ol’Aces walked four straight batters to lead off the inning before Camacho provided the punch, but he wasn’t the only one with the flair for the hit stick as shortstopper Charito Kladikm went 1-for-1 with an RBI single.

Matrix 16, Pirates 12

Santos allowed six runs off of 10 hits and fanned five through six innings before Shane Mendiola fanned two in the final inning to pick up the save.

The Fielders took control of the game early by taking a 7-1 lead in the top of the second and enjoyed a healthy 13-5 advantage through five and a half innings thanks to the efforts of hard hitters P. J. Deleon Guerrero and Paul Camacho.

Deleon Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a single, a double, a pair of triples, and two runs batted in, while Camacho drove in four runs off of a pair of singles and a two-bagger.

Centerfielder Chris Meyers drove in a run off of a third inning single and right fielder Melvin Yamit smacked in a run and stole a base for the Ol’Aces.

SENIOR LEAGUE
Aztecs 8, Falcons 6

After the Falcons took a 4-2 lead through two and a half-innings, the Kagman Aztecs rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the third before taking the lead for good in the fifth.

While the teams combined to score 14 runs, offense was not in abundance for either team. First baseman Hank Arurang went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and catcher Smith Reyes went 1-for3 with an RBI double.

Left fielder Darren Pua also drove in a run with an RBI triple to go 1-for-3 on the day while pitcher Lawrence Dikito went 1-for-3 with a three-bagger as well.

Hustlers 5, Ol’ Aces 4

Vince Sablan did it all for the Hustlers by picking up the win from the hill and driving in the game-wining run to defeat the Ol’Aces to get the three-day weekend started off in style Friday.

Sablan went 2-for-3 off of a single and a double and sealed the game when he drove in Giovanni Ayuyu in the bottom of the fifth inning. The kid performed well on the mound too, as Sablan allowed four runs off of six hits and fanned a pair through four innings.

Shortstop Martin Pangelinan added a couple of smacks for the Hustlers including an RBI single, while first baseman turned reliever John Mafnas went 1-for-3 with an RBI double.
