Have mop, will travel
I was literally bowled over by a column I read the other day. This really progressive writer had a lot of clever things to say about economic diversification, albeit a little too late for our own local decision makers to do anything with.
Ironically, he has almost exactly the same sort of far out ideas that I do. I suppose we both suffer from the same perceptual disorder. Most of his writing has a faintly misogynous overtone that the V Day crowd finds to be a painful, localized itch.
Frankly, or maybe ironically, I agree with him that the hegemonic influence of leftwing States has caused most of our local economic ills and will continue to do so unless we can cause a coalition of cliché’ driven stakeholders to proactively alter our quality of life toward a more positive, egalitarian vision. It is almost exactly what he would want to happen. No more fiscal quagmire for us. The cash-strapped government would be on its way to financial freedom!
Sorry, Mr. Stephens, I just couldn’t help it. The Devil and Daniel Webster made me do it
