Fielders fillet Marlins, 16-6
Kevin Babauta earned a complete-game win and Elton Santos was perfect at the plate as the Fielders sunk their hooks into the Marlins for a 10-run 16-6 victory at Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field on Saturday in the continuation of the Saipan Little League Baseball Association’s Senior League action.
Babauta fanned five and gave up six hits through five innings on the mound, while Santos smacked a single and a double to drive in three runs for the Fielders, but the dynamic duo was simply a part of the process as plenty of their teammates participated in the puffer pounding.
Thorn Sablan went 3-for-4 with a pair of singles and a three bagger as well as putting his speed to good use with a stolen base while catcher Mario Lisua drove in a pair of runs off of two singles and second baseman Jacob Camacho drove in three runs off of two base hits.

Northern Angels 14, Tanapag Braves 8
After Leeroy Dela Cruz took a pounding in the early going, the Northern Angels swapped him out for Jesse Agulto and stopped the bleeding long enough for their offense to kick in and beat the Tanapag Braves, 14-8.
Agulto was heaven sent for the Angels as he limited the Braves to one run through five and a third innings, but the Northern boys would not have pulled out the win without the seven-run explosion in the top of the sixth that gave them the game.
Right fielder Jack King went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs and utility Jeff Saures went 2-for-3 with a pair of base knocks while first baseman 2-for-4 with a couple of connections.
MAJOR LEAGUE
Red Sox 14, Ol’ Aces 4
The Red Sox scored 14 unanswered runs to deal the Ol’ Aces a dugout full of sad faces on Saturday as the little guys with the red stockings earned a 14-4 victory at Tan Ge Field in the continuation of the youngest division in the SLLBA.
Lincoln Ingram freed the scoreboard of unneeded runs as the pitcher fanned six and held the Aces to seven hits, but the story of the game was the 11-run burst in the bottom of the second that quickly turned the tide of the game.
Left fielder Patrick Aguon was perfect at the plate with a string of singles and a pair of ribbies and shortstopper Anthony Leon Guerrero drove in a pair of runs off of a single and a two-bagger.
Tanapag Braves 9, Pirates 8
The Pirates gave away a sure win over the Tanapag Braves on Saturday by allowing the red and white-clad northern boys a six-run inning in the bottom of the fourth in which all scores came off of just two hits, three walks, and an error.
Starting pitcher turned right fielder Sandrew Kani accounted for half of the hit total with three singles and an RBI, but the rest of the team was unable to muster much of a punch at the plate.
With a 3-1 lead in hand, the Pirates fumbled in the fourth, and allowed the Braves to score nine runs off of only six hits and six walks—five of which ended up crossing home plate.
Kagman 1-2-3 12,
Toyota Matrix 2
Ignacio Benavente did it all for the homesteaders as Kagman 1-2-3 figured out the Matrix, 12-2 on Saturday in front of a crowd of family and friends at the Oleai Sports Complex.
Benavente fanned six through five innings and gave up just five hits from the hill while driving in a run and smacking a pair of singles at the other side of the plate for the 1-2-3 machine.
Catcher Benjamin Hocog and first baseman Richard Dela Cruz completed the 1-2-3 combination as Hocog cracked a single and a two-run shot and Dela Cruz did the same to keep Kagman on track for the postseason.
