The Attorney General’s Office wants to hear from all CNMI consumers who have been solicited by a company calling themselves the Community Reading Club of Southern California.
AGO said this company contacts consumers over the phone and tries to sell them magazine subscriptions.
Often, the sales pitch involves an offer of a “free” gold watch with the placement of an order.
“If you have been contacted by this company, or especially, if have placed an order with this company, please call the Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Counsel at 664-2333. You may be entitled to a refund,” said the AGO in a press release.
