HAGATNA, Guam—Children visiting Palau’s Public Library will be happy to see an expanded assortment of books to read and borrow beginning next week.

At the initiative of Wayne Santos, vice president/Bank of Guam’s Palau branch manager, and with the generous cooperation of Continental Micronesia, 17 cartons of books donated by the bank’s Guam staff and Bestseller Bookstore have been shipped at no charge from Guam to Palau.

“Continental Micronesia is glad to work together with the Bank of Guam to support education and raise literacy,” said Lou Sanchez, Continental Micronesia sales and marketing manager. “This is another way we demonstrate our commitment to the islands where we fly, work and live.”

Bank of Guam’s Santos stated further, “To the children of Palau, you are the future leaders of this country. Continue to read and promote Palau the best way you know.” (PR)
