Support continues to pour in for the 4th Annual NMC Foundation Open as organizers of the event were again on the receiving end of another big prize.

As it has done over the past years, Bank of Hawaii has again extended assistance to the Commonwealth’s only secondary educational institution, and is giving golfers the opportunity to fill their pockets with cash.

With a lot of focus, as well as a lot of luck, a golfer participating in the NMC Foundation fundraiser may be able to walk away with $25,000 in cash as Bank of Hawaii has committed to sponsoring one of the four hole-in-one challenges.

“We’ve always and will continue to support this event,” said Bank of Hawaii CNMI district manager John Sheater. “We feel it is very worthwhile for use for support the event and encourage others to come out and support as well.”

Sheater, as well as assistant vice presidents Susie F. Williams and Maria C. Regis were on hand for a presentation to tournament organizers, which included NMC Foundation president Jerry Tan, NMC board member Joanna Pai, NMC Foundation executive director Mark Mendiola, and NMC Foundation Open chairman Michael von Seibenthal, NMC golf committee member Ivan Quichocho, and public relations officer Jeremiah Maximo.

During the brief meeting, Mendiola disclosed that the $25,000 prize will be tied in with a vehicle as prizes for hole No. 7.

The tournament hits the LaoLay Bay Golf Resort west course this April 22, with shotgun start at 7am.

Interested golfers can still avail of the early bird fee of $85, but must register by tomorrow, April 15, to do so. Golfers registering after April 15, will be required to pay a $100 fee. Payments for the early bird special can be paid at the Century Hotel or Triple J Motors.

The tournament will feature competition in six flights—Championship, A, B, C, Women’s, and Seniors—with each of the top three finishers in each flight receiving cash and a trophy.

First place winners will pocket $500 plus a round trip ticket to anywhere Continental Micronesian flies except Honolulu and Narita. Second place winners get $300, while $200 will be awarded to third place winners.

The tournament also features several hole-in-one prizes, such as a Hyundai Accent courtesy of Triple J Motors on hole No. 3, a 2007 Toyota Camry courtesy of Microl-Toyota on hole No. 13, and $25,000 from Aon Insurance. Caronel Watch Center also sponsors the hole-in-one challenge.
