The Mobil gas station along Middle Road celebrated its second year under new management Friday on Saipan.

The station, which is the second largest in Micronesia—for having 10 pumps within the location—is owned and managed by the Pacala-Castro, and Castillon families or PCC Corp.

“We are quite happy. We thank the local community, our customers,” said Mobil Middle Road general manager Augustine Castro.

The station features a convenience store, which sells gourmet coffee, baked, hot food items, and several others.

He said PCC Corp., which includes his parents in-law and sister in-law’s family, acquired the service station two years ago.

The Pacalas are the parents of his wife Tess Castro, the acting managing director of the Marianas Visitors Authority.

His sister in-law Lea Castillon and her family is also part owner.

Lea Castillon serves as the vice president of the corporation.

“This is a family partnership,” said Castro.

He said PCC Corp. also runs two other Mobil gas stations: Koblerville and San Jose.

He said the team first acquired the Koblerville service station four years ago.

They began to operate the San Jose station about two years ago.
