Less than two weeks remain before fighters put their skills to the test in the much-anticipated Trench Warz III: Commotion.

Since the event was scheduled and with fight night quickly approaching, event coordinator Cuki Alvarez has been busy trying to attract fighters willing to show their stuff in “The Trench”—a rectangular-shaped cage.

According to Alvarez, 13 fights, all of which are no-holds barred, are tentatively set for the May 27 rumble fest.

As of the last week, Alvarez said he has paired up 26 fighters from a variety of background.

Already set to battle in the main event are Slade “Rage” Adelbai of Trench Tech and Tony “Xcaliber” Nekaifes, with Adelbai entering with a 2-0 record and Nekaifes making his Trench debut.

Trench Tech’s Jason “Rush” Tarkong, who also enters at 2-0, will take on John Borja, while Frank “The Crank” Camacho will battle street fighter Robert Palacios.

Kelvin Fitial, who battled Tarkong in the inaugural Trench Warz, will face Luka Iakopo, while “Suicide” Cliff Masga will put his perfect record on the line against Trench Warz II winner Bill Saures of Dragon Tribe.

Other matches include Alex Evangelista facing Jay “Furbs” Santos, George “G-Unit” David taking on Lucio Omar, John Babauta going against Welsin Apaisam, and James Blas battling Salik Ittu.

Saipan’s Geovanni Sablan will take on Yuichi Yoshi of Spike 22 Guam, while Jordan Palacios will challenge Tony Borja, also of Spike 22. Also on the card is Ken Tanzawa, who will take on
Frank Roberts.

Alvarez said the match-ups may still change as he is still accepting new sign ups by interested fighters. Alvarez is giving interested fighters until May 20 to register and sign the fight contract. After the deadline, he will be able to work will all names he has on the list and finalize the bouts.

Among those whose names are on the standby list are John Maliti, Arthur Reyes, J.D. Reyes, Ron Chisato, Tom Pangelinan, Ferdinand Fitial, and Jay Muna.

As reported earlier, tickets can now be purchased at the Trench Tech-Purebred Saipan Gym behind Moylans Insurance in Garapan for $20. Members of the Trench Tech family will also have tickets on hand for sale.

As reported earlier, the $5 hike compared to the inaugural and second Trench Warz is due to Trench Tech’s desire to assist and extend support to the CNMI National Wrestling Team that will be competing in the upcoming 6th Micronesian Games.
