Micro Games Supporter 5K nears

The Micronesian Games Organizing Committee will host another fun run with the purpose of raising funds for the quadrennial event.

This, according to publicity committee chair Bob Coldeen, who disclosed earlier that the Micro Games Supporter 5K Run/Walk/Crawl will be held on May 27 at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.

Coldeen said the run will kick off at 7:30am, which means individuals interested must be present at the start site earlier for registration.

More details on the event will be released in the coming days.

The first 5-kilometer fundraiser for the Games was held last March 25 at the American Memorial Park.

A total of 77 individuals participated in the fundraiser, and despite not taking part of the 5K event, several others were just interested in supporting the Games by purchasing T-shirts.

The Micro Games will be held from June 23 to July 2 with over 1,400 athletes from the CNMI, Guam, Kiribati, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Marshal Islands, Yap, Kosrae, and Palau taking part.
