Democratic Rep. George Miller (Calif.) was expected to reintroduce legislation yesterday that seeks to reform immigration and labor laws in the Northern Mariana Islands.

Miller, a ranking Democrat on the Education and the Workforce Committee, was scheduled to reintroduce his bill during a press conference yesterday afternoon at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C., together with Democratic Reps. John Conyers (Mich.) and Hilda Solis (Calif.). The Miller’s office would not release any details of the bill before yesterday’s press event, but it is expected to mirror legislation he has introduced in previous years.
