NMJGL summer session tees off on June 12
The Northern Marianas Junior Golf League is set to tee off its summer session on June 12 and interested youth duffers can register this Saturday, June 10, between 10am and 12pm at Hard Rock Café.
NMJGL has set the fee for the six-week program at $175 for beginners and $200 for the advance group. Slots for the summer session of the NMJGL are limited and are in a first-come, first serve basis.
Lawrence Camacho and Bernard Villagomez topped their respective age groups in a two-day tournament that concluded the latest NMJGL session held at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort.
Camacho ruled the 12-and-over division with his 88 after shooting a 45 in the first day and then followed it up with a 43 in the back. Villagomez, for his part, won the 11-and-under division after firing a sterling score of seven-over 79. The nine-year-old prodigy tamed the greens and fairways with a 36 in the front and 43 in the back.
The NMJGL was established in 1997 with the help of DFS, Marianas Investment, Inc., Verizon, Rotary Club of Saipan, Pacific Trading Co., Laolao Bay Golf Resort, and many other corporate and individual sponsors.
