The second suspect in the Tanapag poker arcade robbery surrendered to the Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Bureau Monday afternoon.

DPS acting spokesman Sgt. Thomas A. Blas Jr. said Anderson C. Ruben, 23, voluntarily turned himself in to the bureau and provided statements as to his involvement in the robbery at Leo Poker Game Room.

Blas said Ruben was the second suspect being sought by members of the bureau’s Thief Apprehension Select Coalition for his involvement in the robbery.

“He [suspect] came down to CIB after family members informed him that police were looking for him,” the DPS spokesman said.

Blas said Ruben was very cooperative with detectives and was later released.

Ruben’s case will be forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office, he added.

Leo Poker Game Room was reportedly robbed of $1,000 in cash and coins early Saturday morning. One suspect, who was later identified through a surveillance camera as Christopher M. Igisomar, was arrested the following day.

Igisomar, an ex-convict, allegedly pointed a knife on the female cashier’s neck and announced the robbery.

Surveillance camera also revealed that Igisomar had a companion at that time.

Police said a witness saw Ruben at the poker establishment when the robbery occurred.
