An unidentified man sexually assaulted a woman at knifepoint inside her residence in Kagman early Tuesday morning.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to the Commonwealth Health Center where she was examined by doctors, according to police yesterday.

Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Sgt. Thomas A. Blas Jr. said the victim described the suspect as a young local or Micronesian who was wearing a brown shirt, blue jean shorts, and had on white gloves.

Blas said preliminary investigation conducted by Patrol Officer Cristin Cabrera showed that during the early morning hours of Tuesday, the suspect broke into the residence and entered the victim’s room. The suspect threatened the victim with a knife and held her down. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim then fled on foot.

“Investigation into this case is still ongoing,” Blas said. (Ferdie de la Torre)
