Marpi burglars struck again last Sunday at the Suicide Cliff area, breaking into a silver 1994 Mitsubishi Montero belonging to a couple.

The victim lost her purse that contained a driver’s license, wallet, entry permit, bank cards, and checkbook.

Blas said the victim and her family arrived at the cliff at 5pm for sightseeing.

After taking some photos, they returned to the vehicle and found that someone had shattered the passenger window to gain access to the vehicle.

Many tourists and joggers had been victimized by burglars operating at the tourist spots in Marpi in the past few months. Some victims appealed to DPS, particularly to members of the Thief Apprehension Select Coalition, to step up their operations to catch these Marpi thieves. (Ferdie de la Torre)
