Shanghai media visits Saipan

A Shanghai media group, accompanied by famous Chinese singer Jacky Xue, were on Saipan for a familiarization tour from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4. The media companies that visited were Golf Magazine, Shanghai Times, Shanghai TV, Sina.com, Xin Min Evening News, Biba, Shanghai Morning Post, Modern Lady Magazine, Golf Wednesday and Traveler Magazine. There were a total of 17 people in the group. The anticipated value of this media exposure is over $300,000.

The group had full days while they were here. They spent time at Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan and DFS, enjoyed a local dinner show, had a night out at GIG and spent time on the water doing sports activities. Other companies that supported this visit were Century Tours, Big Boys Marine Sports, LaoLao Bay Golf Resort and the CNMI Museum.

“It was great to have such a strong contingency of media from Shanghai here,” said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. “China continues to be a target market for the CNMI and having the media here should assure that our arrivals will continue to grow.” [B][I](PR)
