The Attorney General’s Office has prosecuted two men allegedly involved in separate domestic violence incidents on Saipan.

Albert Sablan Palacios, 37, was charged with assault and battery, interfering with a domestic violence report, and disturbing the peace.

Chief Prosecutor Jeffery Warfield Sr. alleged that on Oct. 14, 2006, Palacios physically restrained his wife, causing her injuries in the presence of a child.

Warfield said Palacios interfered with his wife who was reporting or attempting to report a crime involving domestic violence to a law enforcement agency.

The AGO also charged Jergensen Takashi Koshiba, 33, with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Warfield stated in the information that on Oct. 11, 2006, Koshiba punched his common-law spouse in the face and mouth.

In other news, the AGO charged a 24-year-old man for punching another man in the head on Sept. 21, 2006.

Rosco Dean Santos was charged with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace. He was summoned to appear and answer the charges in the Superior Court on Dec. 4.
