The Bwibwiis can breath a little easier now after the team broke into the win column yesterday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

After controlling the bout and entering yesterday’s contest with an 11-point lead, the Bwibwiis played well and closed out the match in regulation for a 61-27 juice out victory over 670’s Finest.

As reported earlier, the Bwibwiis led 29-18 after the first two sets were played on Wednesday.

The 670’s Finest crew was looking to build on its second set victory, but the Bwibwiis had other things in mind and quickly re-established their dominance.

The team dominated from start to finish, and stretched their lead with an easy 17-5 victory.

With that, the Bwibwiis were just a set away from claiming their first win as they led, 46-23, with one set remaining.

Despite trailing by a huge margin, the 670’s Finest squad was not out it as in Rocball, the team leading entering the fourth set must win the set in order to close out the match.

With that, if the 670’s Finest pulls out a win in the fourth set, the match will be sent into o-kon—overtime in Rocball.

Unfortunately for 670’s Finest, the Bwibwiis were just too much to handle. The 670 crew managed just four points in the fourth set, while the Bwibwiis hit cruise control and racked up 17 points to close the bout.

On Wednesday, the Bwibwiis were able to get off on the right foot as Darrel Moteisou smacked in a couple of goals to fuel a 17-3 scunk victory.

In Rocball, a scunk is when a team beats another and limits the opposition to under eight points.

The 670’s Finest players came back stronger in the second set, as Joe Pangelinan hit an ace and a kee, Mike Salas had an ace, and Carlos Rivera also busted up a kee to lead the team to a 15-12 victory.

The match featured 15 aces, two xunks, three kees, and two goals.

Moteisou finished as the game’s heavy hitter with 10 points after bruising the ball for two aces and two goals for the Bwibwiis. Jordan Igisomar was also solid for the squad, smacking the ball for four aces for eight points.

Pangelinan, Rivera, and Salas led the 670’ Finest crew with four points apiece. Pangelinan had an ace and a kee, Rivera smacked in an ace and a kee, and Salas had an ace and a xunk.
