A free eye check-up is now included in the quarterly health screening organized for the CNMI’s Overseas Filipino Workers.

The Philippine Consulate General’s Overseas Workers Welfare Administration said a free vision check-up would be conducted as part of next month’s health screening, courtesy of the Hardt Eye Clinic.

OWWA welfare officer Leonor Mabagal confirmed yesterday this latest addition to the regular free health screening. She said her office is very thankful for the generosity extended by the private eye clinic to help Filipino workers in the Commonwealth.

She said the health screening would be held on Dec. 3, Sunday, from 9am to 12noon, at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office inside the Marianas Business Center, formerly known as the Nauru Building.

Mabagal said a team of volunteers and health professionals would conduct the health screening.

OWWA said those who would like to have their blood sugar tested must refrain from eating and drinking any fluids from midnight of Dec. 2 until the time of their scheduled check-up the following day.
