Man, 54, allegedly sexually abused minor, beat up wife

A 54-year-old man allegedly sexually abused an intoxicated teenager inside a pickup truck while his wife was sleeping in the back of the same truck Friday night in Chalan Laulau.

According to court papers, defendant Isidro R. Taisacan also beat up his wife when she woke up and confronted him for sexually abusing the teenager.

When police officers responded to the scene, the minor was seen hiding and crying in the bushes near the house. She was later brought to the Commonwealth Health Center, but was not examined because she was drunk at that time, police said.

Taisacan was arrested for assault and battery, sexual abuse of a child in the fourth degree, and disturbing the peace.

During a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja imposed a $5,000 cash bail for Taisacan’s temporary release. [I][B](Ferdie de la Torre)[/B][/I]
