Education Day highlights
The Public School System celebrated Education Day on Wednesday at the Hopwood Junior High School amphitheater, bringing together all public school teachers, teacher aides, support staff and PSS officials for a day of fun, celebration and announcement of the year’s best.
Tanapag Elementary School 5th grade teacher Acelia Dela Cruz was named this year’s Teacher of the Year from among 21 public school teachers.
Each school also performed for the crowd and highlights of the presentation include the “Kung Fu Fighting” dance routine of the Koblerville Elementary School, Gregorio T.Camacho Elementary School’s NASA-themed presentation, and dance numbers performed by teachers to the tune of pop songs.
Rose Ajoste and Chris Cabrera were the emcees during Wednesday’s event.
