Aerial survey, live-fire bombings on Farallon

The Emergency Management Office said that the U.S. military would be conducting an aerial survey on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla on Dec. 11, 2006, from 8am to 4pm. It will also be conducting live-fire training on the island from Dec. 11 to 15, from 11:15am to 5:15pm.

The location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

EMO is advising the public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.
