CPA to host aviation workshop

The Commonwealth Ports Authority will be hosting the 2008 Pacific Aviation Directors’ Workshop from March 31 to April 2, at the Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan.

The workshop is a three-day event with Federal Aviation Administration officials and dignitaries from all over the U.S. and Hawaii as well as members from airport communities throughout the Pacific islands.

This workshop is funded and sponsored by the FAA and CPA.

The theme for the workshop is “Planning for Aviation Growth and Infrastructure Development in Partnership with Government and Industry”.

Topics for discussion include air traffic, risk management systems, flight procedures and standards, as well as other airport related topics involving weather service, funding opportunities and airport emergency procedures.

Invited speakers will also provide reports on the much anticipated military buildup in Guam.
