I agree with Mr. Carroll that smokers may have the right to ruin their own health with tobacco but they have no right to inflict secondhand smoking harm to families, friends and the general public. I know many others in the community feel the same way. Hear, hear! And thank you to the progressive businesses that are going smokeless. You can count on my business.

If Guam, who gets more of the Asian “smoking” tourist, can successfully prosper with the ban, so can we! One place I frequently have to subject myself and my daughter to secondhand smoke is at the San Antonio Labor building. Every time we go to file papers, pay for fees etc, we have to pass through a cloud of smokers smoking inside the building right at the stairs. Why are they smoking inside the building!? Just because it is not air-conditioned? I think that is another reason we need the smoking ban in PUBLIC places.
