The 9th Annual Miller Lite Spring Co-ed 4-Person Beach Volleyball League begins on Thursday, April 10, with an opening banquet at the Pacific Islands Club beach side.

The opening banquet begins at 6pm and players need to be at PIC at 7pm to be included in the four-man roster for each team. The league follows a random draw format.

Registration fee is $20 for Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association members while non-members will be charged $25.

Games will be played twice a week, every Tuesdays and Thursdays. The league is expected to end by the first week of June.

Teams must have four players inside the court during each game with one female member.

Last year, top seed Limarh completed its amazing one-loss season when they scored a 15-7 win over the Sand Smackers to win the title. They finished with a 10-1 card tallying 346 points while limiting their opponents to 225 and winning 27 sets in the three-month long tournament.

Limarh was composed of Larry Sharry, Jazz Roscow, J.J. Neth Alison Kaipat, David Terwillger, and Mika. They breezed through the playoffs scoring consecutive wins over 40 In a Bag, 15-9, No. 4 Matua, 15-11.

Limarh won six day passes with lunch at PIC and $180 cash for also winning the pennant, while the Sand Smackers won six waterpark passes for two and $75 cash for finishing as the runner-up.

In the playoffs, Limarh got three waterpark passes for two for emerging as the champion with the Sand Smackers earning one waterpark pass for two and one waterpark pass for one.

Matua’s Morgan Rose, who left Saipan last week, was named the most improved player of the league where she received a one-day stay for two at PIC.

Jazz Roscow of Limarh earned the most valuable player title winning a one-day stay for two at PIC.
