The Korean Dreams turned into Bridge Capital-Kabur’s latest nightmare, beating their opponents in extra innings, 13-7, in the 3rd Annual Budweiser-Saipan Major League on Wednesday at the Francisco M. Palacios Baseball Field.

The Dreams of manager Park Sang Do needed 10 innings to end their two-game slump and secure their fourth win in six matches, while Kabur remained winless after five starts.

Kabur only committed eight errors but seven of those came in the top of the 10th when the Dreams scored six times with no outs. The Dreams also had eight errors, which Kabur failed to capitalize.

Justin Reyes went 2-for-4 with one run and a triple, while John Reyes went 3-for-5 with two runs and a stolen base. Jun Salana only went 1-for-2 but had two RBIs to go with the one run he scored in the fifth inning.

Joab Thomas, Jason Reyes, and Shane Mendiola held Kabur to a 3-for-36 or 0.083 batting. Thomas had his first start of the season pitching six innings giving up three earned runs on three hits with eight strikeouts and six walks.

Jason Reyes pitched 1 1/2 no-hit innings with one strikeout and three walks but Kabur managed to score twice to tie the game when Dennis Renguul scored on a pass ball, while Jason Haynes touched home plate on a Jordan Reyes throwing error.

Yamada came in when John Tutty was about to bat midway in the eighth and immediately struck out the first three batters he faced. He pitched 2 1/2 no-hit innings with nine strikeouts and two walks.

Yamada held Kabur scoreless especially in the 10th retiring Haynes before walking McQuinn Masaharu, who stole second and third. He struck out Tutty but walked Hector Efrain to put runners in the corner.

Yamada got out of the jam when he struck out Poland Masaharu to preserve the win for the Dreams.

Today’s game is between the two remaining undefeated teams this season as defending champion YCO Corp.-Tanapag Falcons clash with the league-leading Rock Steady at 6:30pm.
