The Superior Court has unsealed the case filed against a couple who were allegedly engaged in selling crystal methamphetamine or “ice” on Tinian.

Associate Judge David A. Wiseman on Wednesday ruled that the court no longer finds any compelling reason to seal the case against Oscar M. King, 60, and GuiHua Luo King, 33.

During preliminary hearing, Wiseman also found probable cause to warrant the filing of charges against the King couple.

The judge ordered the couple to answer the charges of one count of trafficking of controlled substance and two counts of illegal possession of controlled substance.

Arraignment was set for April 28 at 9am.

Detective Anthony P. Borja stated in his report that last April 11 a confidential informant disclosed that he was buying “ice” from the King couple.

Borja said they conducted two buy operations using the confidential informant, and managed to procure $30 and $100 worth of “ice” from the suspects.

The detective said that on April 12 they served a search warrant at the suspects’ apartment room where they seized $5,953 cash and 58 pieces of clear plastic straw filled with “ice.”
