The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library graciously hosted 800 students, DEQ and 28 environmental organizations from the private and public center at the annual Environmental Expo on both April 8 and April 9. The Expo was an opportunity for both students and teachers to gain hands-on demonstrations about energy efficiency from DPW, water sampling from CUC and DEQ, environmental enforcement, pesticide management and many more. Students also received a free “Protect our reef” magnet or coral reef placemat.
