Attempted robbery in San Jose, Saipan
On Sunday, March 22, 2020, at about 6:51am, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting an injured person at a poker arcade in the village of San Jose on Saipan.
At about 6:54am, police arrived on scene and noticed a female lying on the floor of the cashier booth, moaning in pain. When the officers asked her what had happened, she was unable to answer as she was in severe pain. The victim was transported to the Commonwealth Health Center where she was admitted.
Witnesses at the scene told police that a masked individual had attempted to gain access into the cashier’s booth, and that the person had fled south toward Oleai. The suspect is described as 5’6” or 5’7” tall, dark-complexioned, skinny, wearing a black long- sleeved shirt, a pair of tan-colored cargo shorts, a black baseball cap, and a pair of black shoes.
