Rangamar and Salas top GCA’s graduates
The Grace Christian Academy presented 33 graduating students during its junior high school’s commencement exercise at the school’s auditorium last Saturday.
Li’amwar Elloise Rangamar, 14 years old and the youngest in her family, led the roster of graduates with the Valedictorian award. The Salutatorian award went to Edward Angelo Salas, 14.
In an interview with the Saipan Tribune, Rangamar said: “I feel really good, I’m proud of myself with the accomplishments I did, especially since my hardest class is math and science. I want to thank my family for all their support.”
“It’s surprising to see how far we’ve come in life. I’m anxious to start a new journey but I’m dreading how we will be going our separate ways. I will miss and treasure the memories of the days we spent in class, study sessions, and cramming,” she added.
Rangamar will be going to Marianas High School next school year.
Salas, 14, shared his experiences and how he feels about the next step in his educational journey.
“Now we move on to a new beginning. Our junior high door may have closed, but our high school door is opening.”
Salas advised his classmates to be tobacco/ alcohol free and to always turn to God. “Let’s make the best of our next four years as it will mold us into what we will be, what we will become and make our parents proud of us,” said Salas. “This has been a journey that we won’t forget. Time flies, and as time goes on we got to make the most of what we have.”
Salas said he is curious about what is in store for him, but he still has faith in God. “I want to thank my mom, dad, teachers, my friend and God,” he added.
Salas will be attending GCA high school.
