MINA sets general membership meeting
The Mariana Islands Nature Alliance, MINA, will be holding its annual 2008 general membership meeting at the Fiesta Resort & Spa in the Azucena Room this Friday, May 30, starting at 6pm.
“We will be having an overall presentation of our activities that have happened in the past year and elect new board members. There will be a free dinner buffet for all active MINA members,” said interim MINA executive director Chuck Sayon.
For those members who have let their paid membership lapse or expire, there will be an opportunity to renew their membership. Those would like to join “on the spot” will also be able to do so at the meeting.
MINA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of the diverse natural resources of the Northern Mariana Islands. MINA’s members come from all walks of life and are tied together by the clear understanding that the people of the Northern Mariana Islands have the right and responsibility to act as stewards of one’s own natural inheritance.
MINA currently has a nine-member board of directors and more than 90 active individual and business members.
For those people interested in joining please come. To find out more information regarding what MINA is all about and/or to RSVP for the dinner meeting call Sayon at 322-7208. (MINA)
