SANTA RITA, Guam—The Joint Guam Program Office announced yesterday the launch of the official Web site of the Guam military realignment. The site, available at www.jgpo.navy.mil, is designed to keep the public informed on the effort to relocate approximately 8,000 Marines and 9,000 family members from Okinawa to Guam.

The site features background information on the military realignment effort, updates on the Master Planning and environmental studies, and details on the efforts in Washington to increase support across the federal government to assist Guam as it prepares for increase in population. Also included on the site is a section of frequently asked questions. There, site visitors can submit questions and those that are the most common will be answered and posted to the site.

Updates and additional information will be added to the site as they become available. (PR)
