Hearing set on bill for shooting ranges

The House Standing Committee on Commerce and Tourism will conduct a public hearing to receive testimonies for House Bill 16-31, which seeks to amend the Weapons Control Act to promote and allow resort developments that offer target ranges for competitive rifle competitions and skeet shooting.

The public hearing is scheduled on June 30, 2008 at 6pm in the House chamber on Capital Hill, Saipan.

Those who want to obtain a copy of the proposed legislation may request it from the Office of Rep. Joseph C. Reyes or download it from www.cnmileg.gov.mp. Requests for a digital copy via email may send the request to rep.jcreyes@gmail.com.

Members of the public are encouraged to submit written testimony on or before the public hearing. Oral testimony will be received during the public hearing. To submit written testimony prior to the public hearing, drop-off or fax to the Office of Rep. Joseph C. Reyes at 664-8838 or mail to P.O. Box 500586 Saipan MP 96950.
