Police arrested over the weekend a 36-year-old woman for allegedly twice assaulting a man whom she claimed owed her money.

Jinping Shi was apprehended for assault and battery, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace.

A $2,500 cash bail was imposed for Shi’s temporary liberty.

A detective stated in his report that Edick Kin Yee Wan complained to the police last March 21 that at 12:30am that day he was with some friends at Asakusa Karaoke in western Garapan when Shi approached him and demanded money.

Shi claimed that Wan owed her money. When he denied owing her anything, the defendant allegedly grabbed his necklace and eyeglasses. Shi allegedly climbed on his back and bit him in the shoulder.

Last April 13, Wan was at the Tasty Chinese Restaurant in western Garapan when Shi again approached him and asked for the money that he allegedly owed her.

When he ignored her, Shi grabbed his eyeglasses and broke them in half. When Wan called the police, the defendant ran away.
