Joy Market robbery
Crime Stoppers is asking the community for information on any of the individual(s) involved in the recent armed robbery at Joy Market on Beach Road Chalan Kanoa. The crime was reported on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 6:49pm. According to police, two male individuals armed with a knife and machete robbed the store and fled through the store’s back door with an undetermined amount of money and Doral cigarettes.
Suspect No. 1 was described as wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Suspect No. 2 was described as wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with black stripes, black pants and black slippers. Both wore white cloths over their heads to conceal their face and were described as young adults, possibly locals. According to the victims, the suspects threatened and held them at knife point. This case is under investigation.
