LISS offers trial basis to local students
At the beginning of a new school year on Aug. 4, 2008, Ladera International School of Saipan will offer admission on a trial basis so that local students and families may see what the school has to offer.
From August 4-29, 2008, LISS will open 6 slots per grade level starting from K-4 and K-5 through 10th grade to local residents. “This trial basis will provide local students an opportunity to experience LISS’ regular school year program during the time they are still on vacation,” stated Wayne Pangelinan, LISS Director.
“The success of our summer programs prompted us to offer more opportunities during the long summer breaks from the public schools. We feel that having alternative learning activities for students during the breaks will only enhance their academics when returning to their schools or when enrolling with LISS,” added Pangelinan.
LISS also announces the Quantum Learning (Leadership Program) and Science Camp programs that will take place between July 28 and Aug. 17 this year. Enrollment for local students is open. Families interested in any of these opportunities should contact the school at 288-2006 for space reservations. (Caroline Lochabay)
