I applaud the decision of the Saipan Tribune to endorse the proposed Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. The monument will bring economic prosperity for our local people, will protect our limited resources, and will make the CNMI into a global leader on ocean conservation issues.
I applaud the decision of the Saipan Tribune to endorse the proposed Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. The monument will bring economic prosperity for our local people, will protect our limited resources, and will make the CNMI into a global leader on ocean conservation issues.
It will also benefit the education of our children as research dollars and education grants will surely follow the designation of the world’s second largest protected area.
