Three masked men staged an armed robbery at a poker arcade in Koblerville early Friday morning, the Department of Public Safety said yesterday.

DPS spokesperson Lei Ogumoro said the perpetrators fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. No one was reported injured.

Ogumoro said DPS received a call of an armed robbery incident at the High Roller Poker Game Room, located across Han Nam Market, on Friday at 1:42am.

Preliminary police investigation showed that three masked men, armed with a silver handgun and a machete, entered the High Roller Poker.

The suspects robbed an employee who, at the time, was doing collection from the poker machines.

A witness who chased the suspects told police that the getaway vehicle was a silver sedan with license plate ACC-798.

The suspects were described as light skinned, around 5’6” tall, and possibly of Asian background, based on their language and accents.

Police said all three wore black masks, dark T-shirts and long blue jeans.

The establishment has a surveillance camera, Saipan Tribune learned.

On June 26, two men armed with a knife and machete robbed Joy Market along Beach Road in Chalan Kanoa.

Both suspects were clad in white cloth with black designs over their heads to conceal their face.

On March 21, a man staged a daylight robbery at Capitol Poker in Sadog Tasi. The suspect was arrested after a few days.
