Kimo to sign autographs at PTI Wireless Express
Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Kimo Leopoldo will visit PTI’s new Wireless Express Center at the TSL Plaza in Garapan today and will be available to sign personalized autographs from 5pm to 6:30pm.
Leopoldo, who made his mixed martial arts debut in UFC III in 1994, is on Saipan to help promote this weekend’s Predator or Prey, which is Gorilla Warfare Production’s first foray to the local MMA scene.
PTI regional marketing manager Kathryn Barry said Leopoldo’s visit to their new Wireless Express Center is a chance for fans to meet the famed mixed martial artist for autographs and pictures.
“We are excited to have a UFC fighter be at our new Wireless Express Center to meet our customers. We encourage everyone to come and meet him since he will be available for autograph signing for an hour and half,” she said.
A German-born Hawaiian native, Leopoldo fought UFC I and II champion Royce Gracie in the aforementioned UFC III event. Since then, he has participated in over 15 MMA bouts with his most notable wins coming against Patrick Smith, Kazushi Sakuraba, and David “Tank” Abbott.
Leopoldo’s fighting style has often been described as freestyle with a mixture of boxing and grappling techniques.
PTI is proud to sponsor Gorilla Warfare’s mixed martial arts debut on Saipan. Predator or Prey will be held this Saturday, Aug. 2, at Saipan World Resort featuring fights among some of the island’s favorites.
Syl “The Deal” Teregeyo will take on Slade “The Rage” Adelbai in what is sure to be an even fight. Fans will also be treated to the main event between Kelvin “The Big Hit” Fitial and Charleston “The Predator” Aiken.
Mainland MMA fighter Johnny Mercurio was also slated to fight “Kill” Bill Suares in one of the semi main event, but his opponent was unable to make the weight. Organizers said they are still scouring the local MMA scene to find a suitable replacement for Saures.
