Rains have forced the cancellation of the opening games for the 2008 Coalition of Private Schools volleyball league, which were set in different venues yesterday.

Players of Marianas Baptist Academy were seen practicing yesterday at their court, where they should have been hosting defending champion Grace Christian Academy.

The game will be played on a later date as well as six other matches for the other participating teams.

Other games that were cancelled yesterday were between CCA and SIS-B (both divisions); WPS vs. SDA (middle school); SIS Green vs. MCS (both); and SCS vs. GCA (middle school).

The games for tomorrow, Sept. 11, will be played as originally scheduled if the weather will cooperate.

CCA will be hosting MBA (H.S.), SDA vs. SIS-B (both), MCA vs. WPS (middle), SIS-G vs. GCA (both) and CCA vs. SCS (middle).

All games are scheduled to begin at 3:30pm with middle school to play first before the high school match-up.
