Hustlers grab lead as Wat-Ever upsets Voyagers
The Saipan Cell Hustlers suddenly found themselves on top of the ongoing Budweiser Open 8-Ball League after scoring a 4-0 win against Coral Reef Shark Attack on Tuesday night at Krystal Perfect Spot.
With the victory, the Hustlers are now 16-4 in the Agingan Division. Shark Attack, meanwhile, remained at the cellar with a 4-16 mark.
But the biggest story of the week was the loss of former pacesetter PTI Voyagers to USSP Wat-Ever.
Wat-Ever stunned the Voyagers, 4-0, to improve their record to 7-13, same as Rock Steady.
With the loss, the Voyagers were relegated to second place with a 14-6 record, while benefiting the now league-leading Hustlers.
In another game, the visiting Islander Rent A Car outshone host Godfathers Rock Steady, 3-1, to stay in third place with 12-8.
In the Obyan Division, D’Pirates disposed off the Primos Home Boys, 3-1, to regain the lead with a 16-4 slate.
Home Boys slipped to second with their 14-6 record after the loss.
In the other games, USSP Perfect Spotters scored a 3-1 win over VFW Warriors, while USSP Fotten Palau overwhelmed Coral Reef Barracuda, 4-0.
Krystal Perfect is in third with 10-10, Fotten Palau fourth (8-12), VFW Warriors fifth (7-13) and Coral Reef Barracuda sixth (6-14).
