Court sets guidelines for Miura coverage

In anticipation of a possible media frenzy surrounding today’s hearing in the case of Japanese businessman Kazuyoshi Miura, the CNMI Supreme Court issued yesterday basic rules of conduct for news personnel attending the hearing.

The guidelines include a ban on cameras of any kind—still or video—or voice recorders inside the courtroom. Interviews and photographs will only be allowed outside the courtroom.

The hearing will begin at 2pm.

The Supreme Court said it would be enforcing a maximum capacity policy. Those wishing to attend the hearing are asked to be seated prior to 2pm and to remain seated for the duration of the hearing. [B][I](PR)[/I][/B]
