Off Twice reverted to its winning form beating Champ-on, 21-11, 21-14, 10-21, last Thursday night in the 2008 Miller Lite Four-Person Beach Volleyball League at the Pacific Islands Club sand court.

Lindsey Sosovec, PIC Saipan Sports manager, teamed up with Alex Hammet, Yumi Sheri, and Amanda Armstrong to power Off Twice to an outright win by taking the first two sets as they bounced back from a loss to Enyophace in their previous assignment.

The win created a four-way tie for win-loss records in the team standings but Off Twice were in sixth position based on the number of sets won so far in the two-week old tournament.

The teams with 2-1 cards were third-running Enyophace, which have seven sets won; fourth MHS Oakies with six, Thai One On (five), and Off Twice (four).

Two teams remained undefeated so far with Acme Roofing on top with 3-0 and Karakuchi in second with 2-0.

Thai One On and Kimoichi posted the other two victories last Thursday.

After losing its first game of the season, Thai One On beat MHS 67 Doh-Fins in straight sets, 21-12, 21-15, 21-18. They lost to Acme Roofing last Sept. 25 before prevailing over MHS Oakies on Sept. 30.

Kimochi finally barged into the win column via a similar lopsided 21-6, 21-12, 21-10 decision over MHS Serves Up!. Earlier, they lost to Enyophace on Sept. 23 and to MHS Peers last Sept. 25.

It was the second straight defeat for Serves Up!, who are 0-2 and are in ninth place.

MHS 67 Doh-Fins and Champ-on remained winless after three outings to occupy the 10th and 11th spots, respectively.

The Doh-Fins have more sets won with three compared to Champ-on’s one.

In points scored against a team, Enyophace is leading with 186, Acme Roofing with 172, Tahi One On (168), MHS Oakies (163), Kimoichi (148), Doh-Fins (148), Off-Twice (140), Karakuchi (121), MHS Peers (103), Champ-on (87), and Serves Up! (58).
